seriously?

ok come on. vanilla? a "calming influence?" whatever. sara, this test is so not accurate. and also i SO DO NOT enjoy calm and simplicity. haha

chamber choir!

at my school there are 4 choirs. i am in womens choir, then there is advanced women for the juniors, acapella for the seniors, and chamber choir is the top choir. last week we had choir auditions which were crappy. i knew that i was going to just make advnaced womens. well, actually i made chamber choir! they kidnapped us yesterday morning and gave us breakfast and made us wear these horrible burger king crowns all day. it was crazy. basically this is a huge deal for me because i have ALWAYS dreamed of being in chamber someday but i honestly didn't think that i would ever be in it, even as a senior and now i'll be in it as a junior and a senior. it was a very exciting thing! so ya i just wanted to share that.
also i have a stress fracture in my foot. boo.

it was a hail of a day

today i dressed up (again!) for seminary. it was not the ideal day to wear a dress. and heels. first of all, i was already having quite a bit of struggle walking because of my protesting leg muscles, and second of all it starting HAILING so hard right when we got to school. here is a not very good picture of the crazy hail buildup on my friend melissa's car:

the rest of the day was not much better. it was crazy snowy and freezing! curses. thankfully the weather has mellowed out. brrr! it's april! it should be warm!

my second half

today aunt Frances and i ran the provo city half marathon. wow. it was really hard. i wasn't as ready as i wanted to be and the course was hard and the wind was blowing and i had to stop and pee 3 times. but all in all i am really glad i did it. i saw my aunt lydia in her car! that was pretty fun. my time was 2 hours and 18 minutes about 4 minutes slower than my st. george time. oh well. i'll take it. i'm really sad that i missed the amazing first session of conference. i think my mom recorded it so i will have to watch it. anyway, that is 2 half marathons under my belt. hopefully the next one i do i will be able to go faster than 2:10. we will see. my legs hurt alot.

i also had the fun chance to hang out with my cousin rachel and her family alot this past week. they are leaving back to indiana tomorrow morning. i will miss the turners! i missed some of school yesterday to hang out with rachel. thank you mom and dad for letting me use the car and exusing me from school!

April Fools!

yesterday i pulled the best april fools joke ever! as you know, i was asked to prom last saturday and to answer him, i decided to turn it into an april fools joke. me and my friend whitney set up all of these clues around PG. we did one at Macey's where he had to go to the ice cream place and ask for a razzle dazzle ice cream cone. they gave him a clue. then he went to the library and checked out a specific book, from there to our old jr high on one of the teachers outside doors, then to his old elementary school then to my friend whitney's house and finally to his old house in PG. in the last envelope at his house was a poem that i wrote to him:

And now we learn the sorry truth.
The fact we can’t deny.
Please don’t ask my sad reason.
I’ll probably start to cry.
I guess its time you finally knew,
I cannot go to prom with you.
Now go on home, wipe off your tear,
Perhaps we’ll go another year.

funny huh? then we drove out to his house in Lehi and gave his grandma an envelope that said that it was an april fools joke, of course i'd go to prom. it didn't really work out the way we wanted it too. after we had put all of the clues where they went and gotten back from his Lehi house, we wanted to see how they were doing so we started checking on the clues. we quickly found out that the last envelope at his old house was gone! that was the most crucial one because it had the rejection poem in it! we knew that they hadn't found it yet because the other clues were still in their spots. so we printed out another rejection poem and a different clue changing the location of the final one. as we were turning down the street to switch clues, their car turned too! they had caught us! we were laughing so hard and didn't know what to do! we ended up just giving them the final answer sealed in an envelope and told them that they couldn't open it until they got to Costco in American Fork. it all worked out in the end and it was a hilarious story! this years prom is on May 3, and i think that it will be so fun with my date anthony (also known as gman). this is a picture of him from when he helped paint my room over christmas. i know it's not so good because of the paint i put on his face but that is ok. he is a cute kid. :)

sleepover, fish and snow

this weekend i spent at my grandma's house hangning out with my cousin rachel from indiana. it was really fun! i slept over there on Friday night and we stayed up late talking about random things. saturday morning we went on a "walk" with grandpa. we were speedwalking for 4 miles which was good because i was supposed to do my 10 mile run on saturday and didn't get to it. it was great. after our walk we all showered and got ready and then grandma, aunt terri, rachel and i went to the mall. it was great! at about 4:00 the four of us, my mom, cammie and my other cousin morgan all drove up to Salt Lake to go to the YW general broadcast. it was really good! i'm so glad that i got to go. after the broadcast we went to JCW's for dinner which was delicious! and then hung out at grandma's for a while. we got home at around 11:00 and this was sitting on my doorstep:



haha i unscrambled the letters highlighted and figured out that my fried anthony had asked me to prom! yay! i'm really excited because i know it will be fun with him. :) i'm excited!

um, excuse me but it is spring and we should not be having this weather anymore! grrr. oh well.

easter weekend

you've got to love easter. my easter weekend was fantastic! on Saturday i was supposed to run 9 miles but i slept in instead. ahhh. after chores and piano lessons, cammie and i decided to go to the mall. we invited my friend amanda and her sister who is cammie's friend, hayley. we were driving to the mall and MY NEW CAR BROKE! :( i was so sad. something with the clutch and stuff. so we didn't end up going to the mall. which is tragic because i really needed to get some running shoes! so the afternoon was just spent chillin with friends and watching enchanted. then in the evening my family decorated eggs and made easter cookies.

that night i had a girls night at cami's house. it was fantastic. we moved all the furniture and had a dance party! i think that we all really needed it. i know i did! then we went and sat on the tramp in cami's brothers boxers and played truth or dare. i had to lick their dogs nose. gross. i know. it was so fun.

yesterday was a fabulous easter! we watched a movie on the crusifixion and resurrection in yw so of course i bawled my eyes out. my family from colorado is here so we got to play with them! here are some pictures!








today i ran 9 miles! it was killer. i really want to be ready for the provo half on april 5.
