what i've been up to!

see this mountain?

i CLIMBED it today! me and a very large group of youth ages 16-18 drove up to mt timpanogas this morning at 1:00am. and then we hiked up the mountain. it took about 5 hours to get to the top. i reached the summit just in time to see the sun rise. it was such an amazing experience. it was so hard. the whole round trip took about 10 hours. i hiked up, then waited for an hour and a half for my group of friends to get up and then it took us about 3 hours to get back to the car. it was madness. i'm not sure if i'll ever do it again. definetly makes one of my top 3 hardest things i've ever done. here are some pictures.







i wish that i could describe how beautiful it was. the whole experience was crazy and amazing.
other than CLIMBING MOUNTAINS! this past week i went to school alot. (haha) and on tuesday some of us went to thanksgiving point when it was only 2$ to get into the gardens. i also went to the volleyball tournement on wed. here are some pics of thanksgiving point.

first week of school

well, i made it through the first week of school. all in all, it was a good week. we are on block schedule so we have an A day and a B day. my A days are by far better than my B days. on A day i have chamber choir, seminary, advanced womens choir, lunch then sign language. on B day i have English H, AP US history, Pre-cal H, lunch then chemistry. i LOVE my chamber choir class. it is so fun. we sing ALOT. its great. other than my love of choir, nothing exciting happened at school. the weekend was very fun. me and 4 of my friends had a girls night. we went and saw sisterhood of the traveling pants 2 and had a sleepover. it was so fun! then yesterday afternoon we went boating again. i wakeboarded again! it was a blast. i love being able to do stuff like that with my friends. :)

last week of summer

school is starting tomorrow. :( this past week, my friends and i tried to cram as much fun stuff as we could in before school starts. on monday we went to the sliding rock in alpine, on tuesday some of us went to lagoon all day long. that was so so so fun. on wednesday we all just chilled and watched the olympics and then that night brittany and tiffany and jared and i went up into the mountains and looked at the city lights and talked forever. on thursday i babysat some people in my ward and helped out at my wonderful friend lisa's sister's wedding reception. on friday and saturday my ward had youth conference. we served at the DI for a few hours and then went up to the humanitarian center in salt lake and learned alot about humanitarian and welfare and all that the church does. then we watched the joseph smith movie at the memorial building. that night we camped in heber and then all day saturday we went boating at deer creek. it was way fun. i got up on the wakeboard! i've never tried that before and i loved it. it was a really good last week of summer. i'm not looking forward to school but i know it has to start and hopefully it will all be good.

i just had the wonderful oppurtunity to go to EFY in rexburg idaho. it was so much fun. i had a fabulous time. i met some great people and learned alot about the gospel and felt my testimony grow. here are some pictures of the people that i got to be friends with:

so those are some of the people i met. i had a really awesome time. i went up to idaho so my friends and i rode the shuttle up to rexburg. it was a very long and not very fun ride. the week went by so fast. i loved it. i'm so glad to be home and sleeping in my own bed and eating good food. the food up there was NASTY! its also good to be able to see my family and friends again. i love EFY. it is such an amazing program for the youth!

another camping trip

this past weekend was spent up in the uintahs at washington lake with my family and a bunch of family's from the ward. it was very fun, but i was ready to come home. here are some pictures from the provo river falls.
