alot to do

the last couple of weeks have been very full of random stuff!
  • my whole yw got released and reorganized. they released every leader i have and put all new women in! i was very sad because i am really close to a lot of my leaders and i love them so much. the new women will be great though.
  • i went floating down the provo river on the same day a little girl DIED! i didn't find out til the next day.
  • i worked every day at wavetronix. i was supposed to work full time, but i would get bored and leave. :P
  • i hung out with our student body president who i have never hung out with before. it was very fun though.
  • i went to lagoon again with some of my friends along with some random boys from orem who actually found us at moab when we were at camp. long story.
  • i talked to many of my wonderful released leaders and had great conversations.
  • i went camping with my family for the upteenth time.
  • i went to a trek family reunion dinner. not mine, but some kid who was on trek invited me to go to his. his trek parents are in my ward and i used to teach their kids. it was very random that i went but also fun.
  • went to idaho for a hurst family reunion. that was very fun, but there was a lot of driving involved and it was a little much for me. we went to yellowstone and hung out at the cabin we stayed in. it was so fun to see my cousins from my dad's side. i don't get to see them very often.

What's coming up:

  • doctors appointment today.
  • i'm going camping with my family AGAIN on saturday.
  • seminary council meeting on monday.
  • school shopping at some point.
  • the end.

well,

i have nothing to say. but i wanted to post SOMETHING on here.
this has been a lovely, uneventful week. i've been working an average of 6 hours a day at wavetronix which is very good. monday i had a seminary council meeting. thursday i went on an adventure which turned into a quest to find cammie at EFY, played human battleship and fell over a fence, and had a fun sleepover. yesterday i had fun playing night games at sara's. today i went to traffic school. which i am going to try VERY HARD not to ever have to go to again. two tickets in 7 months is TOO MUCH!
the end.

trek

there are many things i could say about trek. i could go through the whole itinerary and bore you with lots of details. i'll try to stay away from that. there were some things that were accomplished for me personally on this trek:
1. going on trek gave me an appreciation for the pioneers of the 1800's who blazed the trail ALL THE WAY ACROSS AMERICA. this trek took us 3 days, they traveled for months. we went a total of 13 miles and they went over 1300. we had three trailers that followed us the whole way with porta-potties. which were not that fun to pee in all the time, but MUCH better than going behind a bush and getting a tick up your butt. we had three LARGE meals a day, and they had much much less. when someone felt sick, we loaded them in a truck or on a four-wheeler and gave them medical attention. when one of the pioneers felt sick, they had to buck up and keep going, or they died.
ok you get the idea of how appreciative i am of those amazing people.
2. trek made me feel strong. even though it was much easier than what the pioneers had to go through, this was still a very hard experience. our women's pull was 2 miles ALL uphill. and me and my ma and my sisters all literally SPRINTED up the hills. i felt invincible and incredibly strong. well, at least on the first two days. the last bit, i slowed down alot.
3. trek showed me that Heavenly Father is there every step of the way.
4. most importantly, trek made me feel closer to my Savior and my Heavenly Father and the Spirit.
i feel very blessed to have been able to have the experience.

i must say, i do make a lovely pioneer. at least until i get nasty dirty. :)

my blogging is slacking

mostly because i got facebook so i've been doing stuff on there. deal.
as most of you know, we went to bear lake over the 4th. we mostly just sat around on the beach and read and got sun. janna and i went tubing for a little bit.

so this is what happened to my hand from tubing. i was holding the handle and it rubbed my skin right off!

what else has been going on? mostly nothing. my job turned out to be a dud. i worked one week, and then she said "well, call after trek and we'll see if we have anything for you to do." what a dud.

i leave for trek on wednesday and i am scared.

the end.
