to kiss, or not to kiss

last night i came millimeters away from getting my first kiss. i know. crazy. the thing is, is that i really don't like the kid like that at all, and it was just super awkward. here is the story:
i was at my buddy colton's house watching The Eye with a bunch of my friends. my "friend" named--we'll call him Bob--came over and watched it with us. after the movie, we all played outside in the lovely warm summer night. "Bob" was acting a teeny bit weird and seemed to be plotting something with two of my other "friends". when "Bob" had to leave, he asked me to walk him to his car which was like 20 feet away from where everyone was. i thought nothing of it because i have made it very VERY clear to Bob that i don't do the whole boyfriend thing etc. so we were standing by his car and he was like "if i ask you a question would you answer it completly honestly?" and i said, "well, it depends on the question." and he said "that is not the answer i wanted to i will leave now." and i just thought to myself ok, weirdie, whatever. so then he gave me an awkward hug, and i was speculating to myself the awkwardness of the hug when all of a sudden i realized that his face was VERY close to mine, and his lips were sort of puckered. then my instints kicked in and i shoved him away and turned my head as he went in for the kill. so instead of landing on their intended target, his lips sort of brushed against my neck. (shudder). i thought he was kidding. i honestly didn't think he was serious or else i would have punched him harder than he has ever been punched before.
anyways. i thought he was kidding until he asked me if i liked him. when i told him that i like him as a friend and nothing else, he refused to believe me! he started twisting my words around until i finally just walked away. for a second i thought he was going to chase me but he left. gaaaa! it was the most random and awkward thing ever.

on friday, a few of my friends and i went to my wonderful friend lisa's house. while she was in the shower, the rest of us took some fabulous pictures. then we watched The Bucket List which i LOVED and totally bawled and then we ate some dinner and then we went to a birthday party for this girl from school. here are some of the pictures.



















we just spent alot of time having a girls night and being silly. it was way fun! sorry that some of the pictures got all scrambled up. whoops!

camping

during the summer, my family always goes camping with our friends the crimans and the daniels. this summer is no exception. we kicked off the first weekend of summer by a camping trip up at granite flats. it was pretty fun, fairly boring, me and my two friends kristen and colton had to entertain ourselves and when we got bored of playing cards for about 6 hours, we took funny pictures. then we played more cards and got bored and watched The Italian Job and colton and i fell asleep. tee hee. so here are some of the pictures that we took out of our sheer boredom.

most of those pictures are of me and kristen and colton. there are some of my grandma and grandpa wearing my cute hat and some of our old neighbors cute cute baby kaden. it was a pretty fun trip, but i was glad that it was short.

family time

my cute cousin aaron got baptized on saturday. it was so fun to be able to go to his baptism and see some of my family. on saturday night i got to go to my dad's mom's house and visit with my cousin brandon and his parents after they dropped off brandons twin sister jessie at school in rexburg. brandon is leaving for the MTC in 2 weeks and is so excited to be a missionary! on sunday night we spent more time at grandma hurst's house with my cousins rachel and joshua who are also off to school in rexburg. its so fun being able to spend time with my family. i love it! i didn't take any pictures with brandon or rachel like i should have, but here are some cute pictures of a few of my little cousins from mom's side:




my two little cousins are so cute! morgan and allie are both 2 and they just love each other. it is so adorable! the last picture is of my cousins sammi and arrie and then cammie. those three are so tight and best friends. lucky! so those are some of the pictures of my family.
in other news, i started my part time job at wavetronix yesterday. i had a really good time working with actual people. i love working with my dad! that is how this summer will be. working working working and hopefully playing a bit! i will try to take lots of pictures and keep all updated on my lovely life. :)

so technically my school doesn't get out until tomorrow (friday) but i haven't gone to school all week! yes! on tuesday i went to school for like 2 hours and signed lots of yearbooks. this is a picture of me and my fabulous friend rebekah:

in the afternoon my friend lisa and i experiemented with her hair for something to do for her sisters wedding. it turned out so cute. then we took some cute pictures




last night for mutual we went to classic skating with the priests. i just can't get enough of that place lately! it was soooo fun. although i biffed it SO MANY TIMES! my friend melissa and i were trying to do cool stuff and it did not work out. ouch. i hit my head really hard at one point. after mutual i went to a party at my friends house celebrating the end of school! yes! it was fun. i love summertime!
