Bloody Eye

I know this is SUPER gross, and I'm sorry, but I'm also entirely fascinated by it. Apparently I broke a blood vessel in my eyeball yesterday, and while I slept, all of the blood spread throughout my eye. Ew ew ew ew.

How did this happen? you ask. Apparently, when I blew my nose yesterday, it burst a blood vessel. I KNOW RIGHT?! So lame.

And it won't be all healed for at least 10 days. Kill yourself.

Salt Lake Temple trip.

Warning: lot's of pictures. I took some AMAHZING ones of the temple. Last Friday we had no school, so my brilliant friend Whitney planned a trip to Salt Lake to do baptisms. What a winner! It was such a great experience, we had so much fun. I had a blast taking awesome pictures of the temple, it was a beautiful day, and I was with some of my very favorite people. Doing baptisms was a really cool experience. The Salt Lake Temple is BEAUTIFUL, inside and out. It looks like a castle inside. I was especially enthralled by the circular bathrooms! The font was incredible, everything was just gorgeous. And the most amazing thing is that the pioneers built it by hand. It really was a special experience to be there. I'm so glad!
After we did baptisms, we walked around temple square for a bit, went to the visitors center, talked to a lot of very nice sister missionaries, and then had dinner at a yummy burger place. All in all, it was a great day!

Did you know there is a SECRET back entrance to the font?!
All five of us.

One of my favorites out of the bojillion that I took.

Whitney took this one, what a winner!

Spring really is coming! This was outside of the visitors center.

I love this picture.

Sweater Swing

I went to sweater swing last night with one of my best friends, Todd. It was great fun. Since it happened on a school day we didn't have a day date, but for dinner we did a How to Host a Mystery Party at Whitney's house. It was fantastic. There were too many couples in our group so Todd and I were the same character because some of the characters can be either a boy or a girl. So we were this freak of a person who believes in aliens and stuff. We wore matching hidieous clothes and had alien tattoos on our necks. We ended up helping the aliens take over the world and made all the humans our slaves which was awesome. :)
After we took over the world we went to the dance and had a total blast! It was a great date and I'm so glad I went with Toddley!

I wish I'd taken some with the full costume and hair affect. It was basically awesome. I'll post the dance pictures when I get them.

road trip!

This weekend I had THE BEST roadtrip with my two darling friends Whitney and Merrie. We drove up to Chubbuck Idaho Friday after school after stocking up on SO much junk food. I have never seen that much crap all in one place. This is not even all of it.

We stayed with my aunt and uncle John and Sherri, who are so awesome. They fed us food from their wonderful bakery and let us stay in their extra room in the basement.

We had some unexpected car trouble right as we got to Chubbuck so John let us use his van for the rest of the trip which was a HUGE blessing. We drove to Rexburg on Saturday and walked around campus and looked at apartments! Then we went to the temple which was a really cool experience. We actually had wanted to tour another apartment before we went, but we couldn't find it so we just went to the temple instead, and the workers told us that if we had been any later they wouldn't have let us in because they close it really early. So that was an awesome experience, and it was so great to go to the Rexburg temple. I've never been anywhere else besides Timpanogos.

After the temple, we drove the hour back to John and Sherri's and got ice cream and watched a chick flick. :) then we went to put gas in the car so we could take it home today and it completely died. It just stopped working. So we drove the van home and the car is still in Idaho and my awesome uncle is going to take it to a shop for me.

Even though we had some terrible car trouble, it was very clear that we were being watched over the entire trip. We kept saying things like "what if we had been on the freeway when this happened," "what if we had been staying in a hotel and didn't have anyone to help us?" etc. and I was just completely overwhelmed with gratitude that nothing horrific happened because it TOTALLY could have. And I'm SO grateful to my wonderful aunt and uncle. John and Sherri, I love you guys so much! They were so awesome about everything and let us invade their house and eat their food and use their car. I love them so much!
I am SO excited for college. This trip just reestablished that!

oh high school..

What can I say? I'm ready to be done with high school. I know where I'm going to college and I'm excited for that upcoming time in my life. Thankfully there are a few fun things that high school still has to offer. I love the school dances, I've loved every one that I've ever been to. And I'm very excited to go to sweater swing next week with one of my very best friends. I hope Todd has fun too!

Thank you Whitney darling for coming with me!

The car was FULL of balloons

When he got home there was a sign on his door that said "I'd be flying high if you went to sweater swing with me!" I know I am totally unoriginal, what can I say? The letters in my name were bolded and underlined....hooray for dances!

good for me.

The last few days have been incredibly stressful. I've been working so hard on this blasted research paper for English! I tallied up the hours i've spent typing it up, not even including all of the hours of research, and it took me 10 hours to finish. And technically I'm not done editing. Just done enough not to feel like I'm going to panic. Last night I worked on it for almost 3 hours, and got 5 pages done. Then I accidently deleted the last two pages. GRRR. It was so bad. But, thankfully, I was able to work really hard today and now it is done!
Another good thing happened today when I ran 3 miles on the treadmill at the rec center. It was a REALLY good run. I've never had that good of a run on the treadmill. I know that 3 miles is practically nothing, but it's more than I've run in months so, kudos to me!
Now I plan on enjoying the rest of my weekend.
