piano lessons

Today is thursday which means that i teach aunt frances, marcus and mckayla piano lessons. i've been teaching them since the beginning of the school year or thereabouts and i am so extremely proud of them! i really can't even put into words how excited they make me! it is so fun to watch the progression from week to week. i love teaching my aunt frannie. she makes me laugh all the time. she seriously is doing so awesome and learning so fast and i can tell that she is pretty darn dedicated. she gets so frustrated at herself when she messes up and i always tell her that it is ok to mess up! she makes me so proud. marcus is cruising too. he quickly grasps everything that i teach him and applies it really well. mckayla suprises me every week! it was such a cool thing to be able to see when everything i was teaching her just clicked. now she counts like a pro and knows every note i've taught her.
along with the baldwins, i teach the hernadez kids on wed. arrie, kory and aaron. they are doing really well too. they didn't really like it when i said "i know you've never counted before but you are going to do it now" and it took a few weeks for them to warm up to that concept but they are awesome.
then there is my siblings of course. i admire them alot because they were really my learning experience as i was just figuring out what i was doing (sometimes i still wonder if i know what i am doing:)). for the most part, they have been really good sports about my mistakes as a teacher and i can really credit them for getting me to this point. i love teaching them even though they sometimes treat me like their sister not their teacher.
also, on monday i started teaching 3 kids in my ward, the bulpitts. they are such cute kids! i'm not quite sure how that will end up being, but i am excited to work with them. i hope you have enjoyed reading about my wonderful students! i have the best job!

my cute sister cammie playing the piano. ps, i trimmed her hair last night. it was fabulous!

It is really amazing how you are able to teach others your skills as a piano teacher. I really enjoy listening to you play the piano. Music has alway been a big part of my life. Grandpa Jack
