double dating

so this is going to be a long post with no pictures. sorry!
on friday night i went on a date with my friend jared. we were going to help protect our friend davis from his date whom he didn't want to be with. there were 4 couples, and we went to discovery park and played ultamite frisbee for a long time (my team kicked trash!) and then we went to macey's and stocked up on drinks and peanut m&m's and drove up into the foothills where we had a little campfire. it was really fun! while we were roasting our marshmallows, this random car drove up to where we were. it was pretty scary. they threw a bag of flour at us and kept driving away and coming back. i armed myself with the shovel, ready to fight to the death if i had to. :) they ended up just being these random kids from school that i didn't know but they decided to chill with us on our date and they ate our marshmallows. it was very weird. but the night was fun!
on saturday night, my friend melissa really wanted me to go on a double date with her so i asked my friend morgan out but he had to work. so then i asked this kid from my ward but he had a basketball tournament. can i just say that it is SO SO SCARY asking people out?! i used to complain about how guys are dumb and never ask girls out but honestly, i understand why. it is scary! anyway, i finally found a date. melissa set me up with her friend named jordan from west jordan. the best part is is that she went with a guy in our ward named jordan. that got a little confusing! the date was SO FUN! we went to classic skating for like 2 hours. it was hilarious. my date and i both are not very good rollar skaters and we were trying to do all of these cool tricks and stuff. we'll just say that we biffed it more than once. after classic skating we ended up at a park playing on the teeter totter (i have bruises from this activity) and then we went to melissa's for ice cream. we decided to try to eat a spoonful of straight cinnamon. if you have never done this before, you should because it is SO FUNNY! after that adventure, me and my date had the ultamite bum war contest on the tramp and i beat him every time. score! it was really fun even though i didn't really know him. now we are buds. :)
today in sacrament meeting i had to play the piano for the musical number. i was so nervous! i hate doing stuff like that because i get so nervous and then i don't do as well as i can. it ended up being ok. the stake president was there and i was informed after church by one of the bishopric members that he was asking about me being able to do a musical number for a stake thing or something. i told him that he should tell the stake president that i would not be available for that.
so that is my weekend in a nutshell. it was a fun one! next week is the last week of school. school basically ended last friday. next week we don't even have to go and the teachers don't take roll. summer is here!! halleluah!
